Newtown cuts Ribbon on New Community + Senior Center

Construction is underway on the Town of Newtown’s new community and senior center. When complete, this building will offer the residents of Newtown something it has never had before - a central facility that caters to everyone, and is suitable for community banquets, town-wide gatherings and other large events.

QA+M is helping out Hartford Area’s Habitat for Humanity today with some hands-on labor at 66 Bliss Street in East Hartford. Principals and staff are installing flooring, staining the porches and picket fence, and painting trim and ceilings to help build a single-family home for a family in need.

QA+M Architecture is pleased to announce the addition of Angela Cahill, AIA, LEED AP, as Associate Architect. Angela has had a distinguished 20-year career in architecture, and has worked on dozens of large, complex projects. She brings to QA+M Architecture a high level of expertise and experience in educational environments, libraries, public safety facilities, town halls, senior centers, theaters, and religious institutions.

QA+M Architecture has been selected as the designer for the St. John's Towers renovation in downtown Stamford, Connecticut. The project includes the complete rehabilitation of two separate 17-story apartment towers with 120 units of residential housing in each tower.

CREC Museum Academy Cuts Ribbon

CREC Museum Academy celebrated the opening of its new facility with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Since 2008, the interdistrict pre-k to grade five magnet school moved three times and had recently been located at two temporary sites. After nearly a decade of waiting, the ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday was even more special.
